Lake Como is the third lake of northern Italy
and is shaped like an inverted 'Y', with three legs. It is located in
the centre of the alpine area and it has always been appreciated by visitors
from the north, that see in Lake Como a piece of Mediterranean Sea among
the mountains. Whoever comes from big cities, instead, considers it a
refuge of peace and tranquillity, different than other parts of the Alps.
A charming landscape that always surprises you with thousands
of different shades: the water with tones of blue and green, mountains
covered with snow o covered by forests, villages built in stone on the
lakeside slopes above and cities rich of history and culture.
Lake Como (also called Lario) has different surroundings, but
is in harmony all together. The splendid nature hasn’t been touched
my man’s hand, that has always worked carefully in order to create many
fascinating villages with their own characteristics.
During the summer, Lake Como is an oasis where you can
find fresh air even adventuring yourselves up the mountains, and in the
colder seasons, you can find a mild climate, thanks to the lake and the
mountains that protect, and where you can reach the skiing resorts.
On Lake Como you can spend a relaxing holiday and do many activities:
from water sports (sailing, diving, water skiing, ecc..) to mountain sports
(skiing, trekking, free climbing, ecc..) and many other outdoor and indoor
sports. Most areas are very equipped and sport is given a lot of attention
in this area, as we can see by the many public structures and by several
athletes who have obtained acknowledgements all over the world.
